Volunteer

Volunteers are vital to Greater Mental Health. Our signature volunteer opportunities include our Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), Visit Hosts, and Compeer buddies who provide support for adults, children, and families in our community.

Court Appointed Special Advocates

CASA volunteers advocate for children who are under the supervision of the Department of Social Services and Family Court. After completing a 30-hour training, volunteers monitor the care of their assigned child and advocate for services.

Host Visitation Program volunteers assist families who have children in foster care by supervising and supporting them during family visits. These visits are critical and help reduce the trauma children experience by being separated from their families.
