Reach One

Overview

At Greater Mental Health of New York, we recognize the power of peer support in an individual’s road to recovery. Our Reach One program connects individuals who have a psychiatric diagnosis, substance use disorder, and/or have been recently incarcerated and are currently transitioning back into the community to those who have been successful in their own recoveries. When you talk with a Reach One Recovery Specialist, you can experience a special level of understanding and support.

Reach One is offered in collaboration with Independent Living, Inc. and PEOPLE, Inc.

Is this service right for me?

Reach One may be a good fit if you are someone over 18 years old and have a psychiatric diagnosis, substance use disorder, and/or have been recently incarcerated and are currently transitioning back into the community. All criteria are self-identified by the individual wanting services, and we do not need to see proof of diagnosis.
