Greater Mental Health of New York Welcomes New Chief Operating Officer Darcie Miller, LCSW-R
TARRYTOWN, NY (August 6, 2025)—Greater Mental Health of New York is proud to announce the appointment of Lindsey Garito, MBA, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, to its Board of Directors.
“We are honored to welcome Lindsey to our Board,” said Greater Mental Health’s CEO, Stacey Roberts, LCSW. “Her deep expertise in human resources and her commitment to mentorship and innovation will be an invaluable voice on our Board as we move forward with improving access to behavioral healthcare across Westchester and Rockland counties. She deeply cares about people, and the combination of that passion and Lindsey’s expertise and experience as an HR leader will help us in our mission to build a more resilient and inclusive future for the Lower Hudson Valley communities we serve.”
Ms. Garito is a seasoned human resources executive with over 20 years of experience driving organizational transformation through strategic HR leadership. She currently serves as Assistant Vice President, Total Rewards at Montefiore Einstein, where she oversees the Associate Health & Well-being team of 13 and leads initiatives that enhance employee engagement, health and wellness, and retention across this premier academic health system.
Ms. Garito’s career spans both private and nonprofit sectors, including leadership roles at Westchester Country Club, Summit Health, and Westmed Medical Group. She has been recognized with numerous accolades, including the 2024 SHRM NYS Human Resources Professional of the Year and the 2023 Susan R. Meisinger Fellowship Award. Her innovative work has earned two Workday Process Innovation Awards, and she also earned the 2022 Human Resources Today MVP Award for her writing on workplace wellness.
Ms. Garito is dedicated to mentoring the next generation and devotes much of her time to helping pave the way. She is currently the President-Elect for the Westchester Human Resource Management Association, and also serves as the Emerging Professionals Chair. As chair, she developed and launched a mentorship program that has cultivated mentorship opportunities for over 40 HR professionals. She is also Chair of the Healthcare Executive Exchange for the Engage Leadership Program.
