Children's Respite
Our Children’s Respite program aims to provide a scheduled break for the family and child to ease the stress when an emotional challenge exists. This provides a “breather” in which you – the parent or caregiver – can assess which resources will be of most benefit to your child and your family. Trained respite workers will provide individual or group respite for your child, which may include fun recreational activities and socialization opportunities.
This service may be for you if your children are between the ages of 8-17 and have a mental health diagnosis. Greater Mental Health’s Children’s Respite program is free, and located in Rockland County. Please click here to access the Children’s Respite Referral Form.
Participation in our Children's Respite program is free, but registration is required. For more information and to register, please contact us.
