2023 Power of Connection Gala

Thank you for joining The Mental Health Association of Westchester and the Mental Health Association of Rockland as we celebrated the Power of Connection at our annual Gala on October 26th, 2023.

As we toasted to our future together, we were pleased to recognize our inspiring honorees: Meryl A. Allison, MHAW Board Member and former Board President; Dr. Leslie Citrome, MHAR volunteer consultant and former Board Member; and Glenn Liebman, CEO of Mental Health Association in New York State.

Community support across Westchester and Rockland has uplifted our work for generations. As we join forces and merge our organizations, we build upon nearly 150 years of combined history to increase access to care, offer a life-changing array of integrated services, and reduce stigma associated with mental health challenges.

The generosity of community partners like you is essential to our work. Your contribution supports a myriad of services, such as subsidizing the cost of therapy, bridging the gap in funding for early intervention programs for young adults experiencing symptoms of psychosis, expanding our commitment to children’s care management and therapeutic programs, providing suicide prevention and postvention training and support – and much more.

Together, we will increase the ability and agility with which we deliver and create new person-centered services, helping more than 15,000 individuals across the Hudson Valley region strengthen their resilience and find hope on their journey.

From brick-and-mortar clinics throughout our counties, mobile services delivered in the community, care management for individuals of all ages, and peer support… to suicide prevention training and postvention support, integrated substance use recovery treatment, employment services and supportive housing… we are providing a greater system of mental health supports and services.

Today. Tomorrow. Together.

The 2023 Power of Connection Gala served to celebrate the upcoming 2024 merged entity of The Mental Health Association of Westchester and The Mental Health Association of Rockland, “Greater Mental Health of New York, Inc.”
