Parents of Teens Support Group
Our Parents of Teens Support Group offers peer advocacy to parents of high school aged teens with emotional challenges. In group sessions, Family Peer Advocates, having similar experiences with children of their own, offer educational, therapeutic, and social culturally-competent support and services within Rockland County. Our goal is to provide understanding, assistance, and empowerment in your journey navigating systems and developing strengths-based, family-driven plans with people involved in your child’s life.
Held in a separate but adjacent room to our Parents of Teens Support Group and led by adult youth leaders, our Teen Group offers a space for teens to hang out with friends, enjoy fun activities and games, talk about topics of interest, and enjoy refreshments.
In-Person Parent and Teen Groups will be held at our Valley Cottage location on the second Wednesday of the month unless otherwise announced.
Parents Only Remote Zoom Groups will be held on the fourth Wednesday of the month unless otherwise announced. Zoom link and ID will be provided at time of RSVP.
