In addition to his role as COO at Her Honor Mentoring, an organization that empowers young women by connecting them with mentors and growth opportunities, Gerald also serves as President of WOW Production Services, a consulting firm specializing in digital strategies for brands and organizations. Prior to his appointment as Board President, Gerald served as President-Elect and has also held executive positions on the Board of Directors, including Vice President, Secretary, and Development Committee Chair. Throughout his professional and volunteer roles, Gerald is known for passionately helping his community find their paths and live their best possible lives.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\n\u201cGerald Stern\u2019s leadership comes at a pivotal moment for our organization and for community mental health more broadly,\u201d said Stacey Roberts, LCSW, Chief Executive Officer of Greater Mental Health of New York. \u201cHe brings a rare combination of strategic insight, operational experience, and a deep understanding of our region. As Board President, Gerald will help guide our efforts to strengthen services, expand access to care, and ensure our organization is positioned for long-term impact.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\nGerald shared his vision for the role, emphasizing collaboration and strategic leadership:\u00a0\u201cI am proud to serve as Greater Mental Health\u2019s new Board President,\u201d said Gerald Stern. \u201cAt a time when the mental health landscape is becoming more complex, strong governance and clear strategic alignment are essential. My focus is on strengthening the partnership between the Board and organizational leadership so Greater Mental Health can continue to expand access to care, deepen its community impact, and build a sustainable path forward.\u201d\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\nGreater Mental Health also extends its heartfelt gratitude to\u00a0Hon. Mary F. Foster\u00a0for serving\u00a0as\u00a0the\u00a0Board President with distinction.\u00a0Foster has been a cornerstone of Greater Mental Health\u2019s\u00a0Board\u00a0of Directors\u00a0since 1992, serving in\u00a0numerous\u00a0roles, including Treasurer, Vice President, and,\u00a0most recently,\u00a0President.\u00a0She will continue to serve on the Board as Treasurer.\u00a0Under her leadership,\u00a0Greater Mental Health\u00a0successfully navigated a major merger, strengthened its programs and partnerships, and earned recognition across New York State. Foster was recently honored as\u00a0the\u00a0Mental Health Association of New York State (MHANYS) Joe Lemmond Volunteer of the Year, a testament to her unwavering commitment to mental health and volunteerism.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\n\u201cMary\u2019s leadership as Board President has helped guide Greater Mental Health through an important period of growth and transition,\u201d said Stacey Roberts.\u00a0\u201cHer steady leadership, institutional knowledge, and deep commitment to expanding access to mental health care have had a lasting impact on our organization and the communities we serve.
