These programs provide support and skills training to individuals in an apartment type setting. Using an individualized assessment and service planning process, residents develop meaningful goals, make progress towards their personal recovery, gain skills and independence, learn to use community resources, and develop key community supports. <\/span><\/b><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Supportive Housing: <\/b>Here, our supportive housing counselors will work with you on skills like handling finances, navigating landlord-tenant issues, and connecting with community resources. Once in these permanent homes, our support continues for as long as you need it.<\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Community Residences:<\/b> Greater Mental Health of New York operates three community residences: <b>Joseph R. Bernstein House, J. Martin Cornell Residence, <\/b>and<b> Nanuet House<\/b>. The Cornell and Nanuet residences provide, respectively, special residential environments for individuals with visual and physical disabilities and individuals of the Deaf community.
